1.8 'Writing' includes letter, telex, cable, e-mail, facsimile transmission and any comparable means of communication

2. Description of Goods

A quotation by the Seller does not constitute an offer and the Seller reserves the right to withdraw or revise a quotation at any time prior to the Seller's acceptance of the Buyer's order.

Orders from outside of the UK.
If Goods are being ordered from outside Aluminium Extrusions Online Limited's country of residence, import duties, tariffs and taxes may be incurred once your Goods reach their destination.
Aluminium Extrusions Online Limited is not responsible for these charges and we undertake to make no calculations or estimates in this regard. If you are buying internationally, you are advised to contact your local customs authorities for further details on costs and procedures. As the purchaser of the Goods, you will also be the importer of record and as such should ensure that your purchase is in full compliance with the laws of the country into which the Goods are being imported. Please be aware that Goods may be inspected on arrival at port for customs purposes and Aluminium Extrusions Online Limited cannot guarantee that the packaging of your Goods will be free of signs of tampering.

Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received.
Delivery Charges
Prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges and related VAT which will be added to the price of the products at our checkout.
International customers must telephone us to agree delivery charges in advance.

Goods and Pricing
The Price shall be the price quoted by the Seller's and is exclusive of VAT which shall be due at the rate ruling on the date of the Seller's invoice.
The Seller reserves the right, by giving notice to the Buyer at any time before delivery, to increase the price of the Goods to reflect any increase in the cost to the Seller which is due to any factor beyond the control of the Seller (including without limitation any foreign exchange fluctuation, alteration in duty, significant increase in the cost of labour, materials or other manufacturing costs), any change in delivery dates, quantities or specifications of the Goods which is requested by the Buyer, or any delay caused by any instructions of the Buyer or failure of the Buyer to give the Seller adequate information or instructions.


Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that all graphical representations and descriptions of Goods available from Designs in Aluminium correspond to the actual Goods, The Seller is not responsible for any variations from these descriptions. This does not exclude our liability for mistakes due to negligence on our part and refers only to variations of the correct Goods, not different Goods altogether.
Where appropriate, you may be required to select the required size, profile, finish, number or other features of the Goods that you are purchasing.
The Seller does not represent or warrant that such Goods will be available. Stock indications are provided on the Web Site however these may not take into account sales that have taken place during your visit to the website.
Designs in Aluminium reserves the right to change prices and alter or amend any special offers from time to time and as necessary. Pricing information is reviewed and updated every month.
In the event that there is a pricing error on the website then The Seller will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price.
Should prices change during the period between an order being placed for Goods and The Seller processing that order and taking payment, you will be contacted prior to your order being processed with details of the new price.

Delivery Times
Delivery of products within UK (stock items) will normally be made within 2-4 working days from clearance of payment. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 28 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 28 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.

Risk
As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery.
All deliveries must be signed for. Please remember to inspect the condition and quantity of your package/goods before signing for them. Claims for missing or damaged products will be rejected if they have been signed for "Received in GOOD CONDITION".
In the event that goods are returned to us because they were not signed for we will not be liable for any loss sustained by you. We will contact you to arrange payment by you of a further carriage charge before we are obliged to attempt to redeliver the items to you.


Time Limitation for Notification of Claims
Damage in transit: If goods arrive damaged you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note. It will then be your responsibility to inform us by within 7 days from delivery. Damaged goods can be returned up to 7 working days following receipt of order.
